A lady I know from church has worn this apron daily since her sister made it for her about 35 years ago. It meant a lot to her, but it had seen better days. She graciously asked if I could duplicate it, and I was happy to take on the challenge. The appliqued duck was the only part I was concerned about since I had never done an applique (believe it or not!). I did a practice run before doing the real thing and I think that was a smart move.
